Innovative Wound Treatment
The 1A Wundzentrum uses modern technologies to maximize healing outcomes for chronic wounds. Two particularly innovative methods offered at the center are cold plasma therapy and ABI measurement (Ankle-Brachial Index).
Cold Plasma Therapy – Accelerated Wound Healing
Cold plasma therapy is an advanced treatment that utilizes non-thermal plasma to reduce microbial contamination in wounds. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects and promotes microcirculation—significantly accelerating wound healing. This method is especially effective in therapy-resistant wounds or infected wounds.

ABI Measurement – Essential Diagnostic Tool for Circulatory Disorders
The Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) is a non-invasive diagnostic tool used to detect peripheral arterial disease (PAD). By comparing blood pressure in the arms and ankles, it helps identify circulation problems – a common cause of delayed wound healing, particularly in patients with diabetes or vascular disease.
